This test may be performed by looking for motion between fields and may require eyeball confirmation. Accurate automation currently may not be possible
Note that systems should be aware of the metadata flag MBAFF in AVC compressed video which gives interlaced output in baseband.
Some material will be mixed, and it would be very useful to log changes within files.
Also note that interlaced material with no movement is indistinguishable from PsF.
